Ryan embarked on his professional journey as a milling operator in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, dedicating 23 years to mastering the intricacies of the industry. His expertise as a milling operator laid the foundation for what would later become a transformative venture.
Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Ryan took a bold step and constructed his first machine, initiating the recycling process for scrap bits. Originally, this endeavor was fueled by a desire to earn some extra beer money and various other incentives.
However, a close call with a near garage fire prompted Ryan to reevaluate and relocate his innovation to the backyard.
An unexpected turn of events occurred when Ryan involved his children in the recycling process. Not only did they revel in spending quality time together, but they also became integral to the evolving enterprise. Through their involvement, Ryan unearthed the true potential of what he was building.
Recognizing the need for legitimacy and expansion, Ryan reached out to his best friend, Joe Owens. Together, they embarked on a journey to elevate the recycling company to new heights. The Owens family joined the cause, contributing to surpassing production standards and injecting a new level of enthusiasm into the operation.
The pivotal year of 2019 marked a significant milestone for Ryan and his team. TC Recycling, as the company had come to be known, achieved a major breakthrough by selling its first container of Element 6 Milling bits to Anrak Corporation in Sacramento, CA. This success marked the beginning of a trajectory that would see TC Recycling carve its niche in the Asphalt Milling industry.
As the company continued to thrive, it held steadfast to its core values – prioritizing the spirit of family and friendship. Through dedication, innovation, and a commitment to sustainable practices, TC Recycling evolved from Ryan’s backyard experiment into a reputable player in the recycling and aftermarket dealership industries. Ryan’s journey from a milling operator to the founder of a successful enterprise is a testament to the power of passion, collaboration, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship.
